We pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The core of this impressive landscape is the homonymous crater, a 1970 ft / 600 m deep and 11,2 miles / 18 km wide caldera, which is home to the densest mammal population in the world. We have lunch in a picnic area and then start our leisurely game drive. You will see elephants, zebras, buffalo, antelopes, lions and many other animals in this unique atmosphere. You may even see leopards or a rhino. This area is also inhabited by Maasai people, they pasture their animals unperturbed by the presence of predators.
Before dusk, we take you to a camp, where you will be served dinner and spend the night.
After a rich breakfast we continue our westward journey and soon reach Serengeti, Tanzania's oldest and best known National Park. On its spacious plains the annual migration of wildebeests can be tracked, when they roam for long distances, looking for water. The time when most animals are in the park is from December to June. Apart from enormous herds of hoofed animals you will be able to observe a big number of predators as well as various birds along the rivers.
We will have a lunchbreak in a picnic area and then continue our game drive which gives you more chances to experience wildlife in this fantastic place.
We take you to a camp where you will be served dinner and where you will stay over night.
Early morning offers the best opportunities for watching animals when they feed on the endless steppes, which is why we start our tour during dawn. We continue our game drive through the scenic area of Serengeti. After lunch we set off for the journey back to Lake Manyara Nationalpark. Once again we spend the night at a camp.
After breakfast we enter Lake Manyara Park which stretches for 30 miles / 50 km along the rock slopes of rift valley. The Park offers three different habitats: In the jungle–like forest, baboons stroll along the trail and blue monkeys scramble up and down huge mahogany trees. In the floodplains and airy acacia forests you may be able to see elphants, giraffes, zebras and buffalos as well as tree climbing lions. The alkaline lake is populated by flamingos, pelicans, kormorans and storks. Enjoy the journey through this varied scenery as a crowning completion of your safari!
After lunch we will drive you back to your hotel.
From your hotel we transfer you to Lake Manyara Nationalpark. After a picnic in the entrance area we drive through the Park, which extends for 30 miles / 50 km along the steep rock slope of rift valley. Along the winding road through the jungle–like forest you will observe bushbocks, baboons and blue monkeys as well as a rich variety of birds in the ancient mahogany trees.
Emerging from the forest and entering the grassy floodplains of the alkaline lake you may watch buffalo, wildebeests and zebra herds as well as the famous tree climbing lions in the acacia woodland. Pretty pink flamingos populate the lake.
In the late afternoon we will take you to a nearby campsite where we will have dinner and spend the night.
After a rich breakfast we go through Ngorongoro Conservation Area heading for the Serengeti. En route you experience the wildlife of Ngorongoro and there is also a chance to visit Olduvai Gorge, a 330 ft /100 m deep canyon where relicts of the stone ages have been discovered. As an alternative to this, we may visit a Maasai village. These pastoral people live in the Conservation Area, sharing the environment with lions and other predators.
In the early evening we reach our camp in the Serengeti where we stay over night.
Early morning hours offer the best chances for watching animals. Therefore we will leave camp early and set off for an adventurous day in the Serengeti. In spring and autumn, the migration of wildebeests can be observed, a fantastic natural spectacle. The time when you will be able to see most animals here is from December to June. Apart from hoofed animals you will also see lions, leopards and a big variety of birds along the rivers.
After a picnic lunch we leave Serengeti and take you to a camp again.
Today we visit the famous Ngorongoro Crater, a scenic caldera, 1970 ft /600 m deep and 11,2 miles / 18 km wide. It offers an incredibly dense mammal population. On our game drive you will see zebras, gazelles, elephants, lions and even leopards or maybe a rhino.
We will have lunch in a lovely picnic area and later take you back to your hotel.
