Tarangire and Ngorongoro

Day 1

From your hotel in Moshi we drive you to Tarangire National Park, which we will reach around lunchtime. After a picnic we will enter the park which is famous for its enormous population of elephants and the colossal baobab trees. You can also watch giraffes as well as herds of buffalos and wildebeests, particularly during dry season from July to October, when they come to Tarangire River to drink.
In the late afternoon we will leave the park and take you to a nearby campsite where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2

We will have breakfast very early and then drive you to fantastic Ngorongoro Crater. This impressive caldera, 1970ft / 600 m deep and almost 12miles / 20 km wide, with its dense mammal population is unique in the world. You will observe zebras, antelopes, lions and warthogs – and if you are lucky, even leopards or a rhinoceros.
But not only animals can be seen, the grass steppes and acacia forests of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area are also home to Masaai people who pasture their animals here and live in a symbiotic community with the predators.
We will have lunch in a picnic area and drive you back to your hotel in the afternoon.

Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro

Day 1

From your hotel in Moshi we drive you to Lake Manyara National Park. We will have lunch and then enter the park which stretches for 30 miles / 50 km along the steep rock slope of rift valley. Along the winding road through the jungle–like forest you will observe bushbocks, baboons and blue monkeys as well as a rich variety of birds in the ancient mahogany trees.
Emerging from the forest and entering the grassy floodplains of the alkaline lake you may watch buffalo, wildebeest and zebra herds as well as the famous tree–climbing lions in the acacia woodland. Pretty pink flamingos populate the lake.
In the late afternoon we will take you to a nearby campsite where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2

After an early breakfast we take you to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On an adventurous trail we will reach its most impressive part, the caldera, 1970ft /600 m deep and 11.2 miles / 18 km wide. On our unhasty journey through the grass steppes you have plenty of time to observe elephants, gazelles, zebras, antelopes, lions and many others, even leopards and rhinoceros might be seen. Close to the animals, masaai people live in this area and pasture their cattle unperturbed by the presence of large predators.
After having lunch in a picnic area we drive you back to Moshi in the afternoon.
